Voice that Cares- Psycho-social First Aid (PSFA)†is a PAN India that aims to provide psychosocial first aid counselling support to needy individuals on a wide
range of mental health matters which include anxiety, fear, panic attacks, phobias, guilt, grief, loneliness,
anger, exam stress, pandemic induced psychological issues, stigma, suicidal tendencies and other mental
health concerns. The initiative is supported by over 200+ trained PSFA counsellors and backed by an
advisory panel consisting of senior clinical psychologists / psychiatrists who will monitor the operations
and guide the team.
The “Voice That Cares†helpline number is 8448-8448-45 and will be open FOR ALL from 9:00 AM to
9:00 PM and 7 days a week and is currently offered in Hindi and English languages (will be expanded to other
regional languages in due course). Helpline services are offered free of charge to the public.This initiative
was launched on June 24,2021 under the guidance of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA)
and Center for Psychosocial Support in Disaster Management, NIMHANS and supported by Manasa
Educational Foundation for Mental Health (MEFFMH). |
